The Aachener Ofenbau und Thermoprozess Kolloquium (AOTK) was organised for the first time on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Institute of Industrial Furnaces and Heat Engineering (IOB) at RWTH Aachen University in May 2017 in Aachen. Since then, the Institute has organised the AOTK every two years, making it the
5th Thermoprocess Colloquium Aachen on 23 and 24 September 2025
The aim of the colloquium is to present the current state of R&D and plant engineering in industrial furnace technology and to discuss the future tasks and challenges of the industry.
A large number of technical presentations from science and industry will therefore form the core of the colloquium. The programme will be rounded off by an evening event.
